Story / Plot

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice takes place after the events of Man of Steel. During Superman’s battle with General Zod, much of Metropolis is destroyed. Bruce Wayne witnesses the destruction from the ground and becomes deeply concerned about what could happen if Superman ever turns against humanity.

Almost two years later, Superman has become a controversial figure. Many people see him as a savior, while others believe that someone with his enormous power should not be allowed to operate without limits.

Bruce Wayne becomes convinced that Superman represents a potential threat to humanity. He begins preparing for a confrontation with the Kryptonian, eventually obtaining a sample of Kryptonite that could weaken Superman.

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor is secretly manipulating events from behind the scenes. Luthor studies both Superman and Batman and realizes that their fears and weaknesses can be used against them.

Superman also begins investigating Batman because of his increasingly violent methods in Gotham City. Lois Lane continues investigating a separate international incident connected to Luthor’s operations.

As tensions rise, Luthor discovers Zod’s body and uses Kryptonian technology to create a powerful creature that eventually becomes Doomsday.

Luthor also discovers Bruce Wayne’s identity as Batman and manipulates the situation so that Batman and Superman are pushed toward a direct confrontation.

Batman uses his Kryptonite weapons and specialized armor to fight Superman. After a brutal battle, Batman gains the advantage and prepares to kill Superman.

However, Superman asks Batman to save his mother, Martha Kent. Batman realizes that Superman is not simply an alien threat but a person who cares deeply about his mother. This changes Bruce’s perspective, and the two heroes stop fighting.

Before they can fully resolve the situation, Luthor’s creation Doomsday emerges and begins attacking Metropolis. Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman join forces to stop the creature.
